This one is last minute, so no Photoshop lead this time.

I need one or two wrench turners for Empire State Performance Rally in Narrowsburg, NY this weekend. It’s a volunteer position this time around (no pay), but meals and lodging will be covered. You would have to be in Narrowsburg by 730 PM Friday and we should be done by 730 on Sunday.

Car is the Golf pictured, which should be fairly low maintenance. Experience and having your own tools isn’t necessary, but it’s a plus.

Shit.... I’d have to figure out a way to get up there from the city, but right now I’m wondering if I’d rather bust my ass in the cold or take advantage of all of the shit going on down here for Halloween weekend.

If I didn’t have to work Saturday I’d be all over this. Maybe another time. Six hour drive is a piece of cake and I have most any tool needed except welding equipment but have brazing setup. I also know how to emergency align a car at a track. BTW, if I was there I wouldn’t care if it was PB&J and cola, tacos when you are trying to work are too messy. Besides , grease on the outside of a sandwich just make them go down easier.

This seemed to be best logical place.

I have decided that I’ll help a team at the 100 Acre Wood for 2017. I reached out to the one local guy I know, but no response. So I’m going to the internet. I know it is in March so it’s not pressing, but would like to look into this and maybe get in touch with a national team that may need help. Let me know what you think. Or if there are forums or a crew you know that may be going.

If it doesn’t work out I may just end up volunteering as I have in the past, but I’m looking for a different rally perspective than watching cars go zoom.
